The light filters into the space, every element directed towards contemplation: the furniture is meant to transcend its daily reality. A perimeter of high plants, astutely illuminated at night, protects the apartment from the external world, creating a backdrop into which almost-invisible architectonic elements insert themselves.

The decision was to play with contrasts, black and white, day and night, natural and artificial: the light spreads, enhanced by the white ceiling and walls, the darkness penetrates, filtered by the natural screen, absorbed by the hard wood floor. The inspiration is oriental, the composition of the details precise and accurate but simple, in the spirit of the japanese art of ikebana.

A line of statues and artworks by the owner, records of travels to Africa and Asia, unfolds in the foreground, telling of other dimensions and conversing with the only other visible coloured elements : the books and cds stacked compactly in the suspended holders designed for Pallucco.

The architectural assembly, perceivable in the ceilings, reveals itself in the second instance. A home that pursues sensorial elevation through the control of the senses, a contemplative space in which every element can be either a source of lightness or of reflection: almost a non place conceived as a retreat from the urban context.
